This Risk Disclaimer outlines important information regarding participation in aesthetic training programmes provided by LAOMA.
1. Educational Purposes Only
LAOMA training courses are designed to provide educational instruction. They do not constitute medical advice to the general public.
Participants must practice within their professional regulatory scope and remain responsible for their own clinical decisions.
2. Competence Professional Responsibility
Completion of a course does not guarantee clinical competency.
It is the participant’s duty to:
- Undertake further supervised practice where needed
- Maintain appropriate professional insurance
Comply with UK regulations and their governing body
LAOMA accepts no responsibility for unsafe or inappropriate treatment performed after
training.
3. Live Models & Practical Risk
Courses may involve treating live models.
Participants acknowledge:
- All medical procedures carry inherent risks
- Complications (e.g., bruising, swelling, vascular compromise) may occur
- They must follow trainer instructions at all times
Failure to comply may result in removal from practical activities.
4. Liability Limitation
LAOMA is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from:
- Treatments performed by participants before, during, or after training
- Misuse of techniques taught
- Failure to follow professional guidelines
- Lack of appropriate indemnity insurance
5. Post-Training Practice
Participants acknowledge that:
- They must maintain CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
- They must ensure appropriate prescribing arrangements if required
- They remain responsible for safe treatment delivery
LAOMA provides guidance but cannot supervise clinical activities undertaken outside the
academy environment.
6. Acceptance of Risk
By enrolling in any LAOMA course, participants confirm they understand:
- The risks associated with aesthetic procedures
- Their personal responsibility for professional conduct
- Their requirement to work within UK medical regulations
